Instructions on how to properly set up your studies

Updated over a year ago

Creating studies and setting up your basic settings are fundamental to getting started on the GroupSolver platform. See below for instructions on how to set up your studies properly.

Setting Up a GroupSolver Study:

To start coding your GroupSolver study, follow the steps below. πŸ‘‡

Open the Account Homepage where you would like to store your GroupSolver study. If you have yet to create a study, the image below will be seen on your account. Here, you can "Start from scratch" and create a study from a blank canvas or select one of our pre-existing templates. We offer templates in various common Market Research topics and trends from Brand positioning to Willingness to Pay.

Within each template, you'll see a brief description of the template topic, information regarding how many questions are included in the template, and the length of the interview.

If you select a template or start from scratch, you'll have the option to name your study, choose the study language, and select the number of respondents you're hoping to target.

Fill in the basic settings of the study.

Study Name: The name associated with your GroupSolver study. Note that, by default, the study name will appear on the welcome page for respondents to see if you choose to have a welcome screen.

Study language: This refers to the language in which you will be running your study. Note that the study language will only automatically translate parts of the respondent experience, such as default messages in an open-ended question. You must code the survey in the language you would like to run your study. The default language is English.

Note: Available Languages include: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hausa, Hindi, Igbo, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Yoruba

Request: This refers to the number of respondents you would like to collect for your GroupSolver study. Note that you may request up to 3,000 completes. If you need to collect more than 3,0000 completes, don't hesitate to contact your GroupSolver Representative or [email protected].

After selecting "Create study," your study will be created, and you'll be redirected to the Study design of your study. Here, you can treat the template as any other study. You may add or remove modules and make any changes or customizations.

Your Account Homepage will appear as the image below if you've already created a study. You'll still have the option to create a study at the top (the drop arrow will allow you to select from the template options), and you can view your previously created studies below.

Note: Go to Navigating the Study design to learn how to start coding your GroupSolver study.
