Study Statistics

View statistics from respondents entering the study

Updated over a week ago

The Study Statistics panel will show statistics from respondents entering the study once a study is launched and has its first complete. This includes how many participants completed, over-quoted, terminated or dropped off. This panel also shows where people went over quota or terminated.

Study Statistics

The statistics panel shows up only after you have captured your first complete. It is located on the left side panel in the Study design. This panel updates in real-time, so you can track your study and see updates immediately.

You will see a circle chart in the first portion of the panel. This chart shows how many people completed the study, terminated, went over quota, or dropped. Here are some quick definitions of what these four categories mean:

  • Complete: A qualified respondent finished the entire study and will be included in the results.

  • Terminate: A respondent did not fit one or more conditions required to qualify for the study and was kicked out. Their responses will not be included in the results.

  • Over-quota: A respondent was kicked out of a study because they exceeded a quota set in the conditions of the study. Their responses will not be included in the results.

  • Dropped: A respondent exited the study in the middle of taking it and was neither terminated nor went over quota. Their responses will not be included in the results.

Quotas Statistics

In this portion of the panel, you can track collection for the quotas you have built. You will notice three pieces of information in this section:

  • Quota name: The “Conditional branch name” you filled out when you first built the quota in the Study design. It is helpful to name your quota something that is easily identifiable.

  • Collected: The number of respondents that have filled that quota so far.

  • Requested: This reiterates the number that fulfills your quota. This will either be a percentage of respondents (percentage) or a number of respondents (completes).

Termination Statistics

The last section of the panel shows how and why people were terminated in the study. It lists each termination point, the completion point, and how many people finished the study at each point. It is extremely helpful to see what condition makes it most difficult for respondents to qualify.

The names for each termination come from the Endpoint Module name found on the Study design page. These modules can be identified by a black box that says “Terminate: {termination name}."

Note: It is helpful to name each terminate and over quota endpoint as something easily identifiable. The numbers on the right show how many respondents were kicked out of that specific condition.
