Downloading Data

Download your data to use in spreadsheets

Updated over a year ago

The Data Download allows you to download specific study data, which you can then manipulate and customize, upload into varying analysis tools of your choice, and/or see all verbatim data in a clear-cut format.

There are two ways to get data from the GroupSolver Dashboard. The first is to paste the data into a spreadsheet, and the second is to download the entire dataset.

Pasting data into a spreadsheet from the clipboard

Click the button with the download symbol at the top of the page of any of the GroupSolver visualizations.

A drop-down menu will appear with two options: "Print Report" and "Table to clipboard.”

-Print Report: this is the best option to use if you want to keep the report as-is and print it out for your presentation and any other purposes.

-Table to clipboard: this is useful if you want to build your own charts in Excel. After selecting "table to clipboard,” you can paste this information into Excel to create your own visualization.

Downloading the entire data set

Download the entire data set and open it with an application of your choice. Open the “Download” section at the top of your study.

Beside “Download data as,” select your desired data type. Here you have the option to download data in .xlsx, .json, and .sav formats. Once you have selected your desired format, you can select "Request download."

You can customize your download by pressing the “Customize” button. Here, you can select specific question types, view answers split by segments, termination reports, and more.

If you want to download the quantitative data in full, including each respondent’s answers to every choice question with columns separated by segments, select “All Responses.”

Tip 1: Downloading "All Responses" will also show you answers given to Free Text questions, labeled in the download as "FTQ_."

Tip 2: To include the qualitative open-ends, you must select from the list of AI Open-End options.

Press “Request download” to begin downloading your report. You can now download your data to your computer under “Download History.” Select the three horizontal dots on the rightmost corner of your data and click “Download.”
