IdeaCloud™

IdeaCloud allows you to easily recognize which answers are top-of-mind with your audience

Updated over a year ago

The IdeaCloud is a spin-off of the “word cloud” concept. Rather than showing keywords, we show themes and answers, allowing you to quickly recognize which answers are top-of-mind with your audience.

Accessing the report

To open an IdeaCloud™ report, navigate to the top of your Study design and click "Reports." This will open an overlay with all reports that have already been created within the study. Click the AI Open-End™ question you would like to analyze and select "IdeaCloud™."

The steps above will open the report that was automatically generated and includes all segments. If you want to create a new report with the specific segments, click on the question you would like to analyze and click "Add new."

Note: Refer to the Building Segments article in our Help Center for more information.

Answer view

The IdeaCloud visualizations show answers in brightly-colored bubbles. Answers with high support strengths will have larger fonts, which can ultimately make the respective bubble of the report larger as well.

Underneath the visualization, you will find a list of answers with their respective support strengths and their theme if they have one. This is a commonality among our reports.

Theme view

To learn more about how our themes work, click on "Themes."

When you look at the chart, you can see that it changed and displays Themes instead of Answers. Our AI has automatically grouped the Answers into Themes so that you don't have to do it manually.

There is also a table below each chart. This table displays the Theme itself and the Number of answers the particular Theme contains. Next to it is the Theme support (%).

Sorting and filtering

There are two ways to sort the chart.

The first is to click on the two arrows above the chart. This will open the sorting options. Here you can add or remove various sorting options.

The second is to click the column label in the chart table. In the example below, you can see that the data is sorted by the Letter in ascending order and by the Expected support in descending order.

To filter your data, click on the filter icon above your chart. This will open up the filtering options. To add a new filter, click "Add filter" in the top-right corner of the drop-down menu.

Managing segments

If you want to view the answers to only a specific demographic, click on "Data" above the chart. This will open a drop-down where you can manage the segments.

If you want to change a segment, click "All completes."

You can also show "Top unthemed answers" in your chart by toggling the option.

Note: Learn more about managing segments in our Building Segments article.

Chart options

There are various settings in the Chart Options:

  • Auto Zoom - toggling this setting will automatically zoom the bubbles to fill the screen.

  • Title - you can change the chart's name here.

  • Display theme colors - toggling this will display theme colors directly on the chart.

  • Legend

    • Disabled - this setting will disable the chart legend

    • Draggable - choosing this will make the chart legend draggable

    • Static - this will enable the static, unmovable chart legend

  • Bubble details settings - you can set how much data related to the data point will display when you hover over the bubble
